Bush is on your side! -

I heard a recording of Bush's speech today on the radio and I hear the way he is uninvitedly making grandiose statements about the march of freedom on behalf of the Lebanese opposition and saying that "America is on your side!". Contrast that with the pro-Syrian rally going on today which had placards that read, "America is the source of terrorism" and "All our disasters are from America". So as I consider all of this I am tickled by a funny image in my mind: Images of the Lebanese opposition leadership saying, "No! No! Don't be on our side! We don't want you on our side! Why don't you play for the other team! Can't you invade Iran or something!!!!!" :) |
