Got ourselves a shiny, new-to-us, Honda Accord -
May 09, 2005 Posted: May 09, 2005
We set out on Saturday looking for a 2002 Accord EX with about 30k miles. We ended up getting a 2003 Accord EX with about 32k miles. Not as good a bargain as a 2002 would have been since it's a bit newer and has all the new funky features but I like the way it looks better. It's sandy colored and a very well mannered on the road. I like these things about it: the in-dash CD player, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, the fact that you can drop all of the windows using the keyless entry. Performance is decent - again, it's well-mannered. Handling leaves a bit to be desired from someone who drives a Miata most of the time. Let's just say it doesn't corner "like it's on rails". I have 2 criticisms of the new design: one, the rear view is obstructed by a very high trunk; two, the brakes can be a bit touchy (a light tap on the brakes does more braking than you expect it to... probably something I'll get used to). Pictures will be coming soon. Meanwhile, here's the photo from the dealer website.
