Friday I spent the day recovering from a nasty eye issue - a granule of "something" got in my eye Thursday night and was extremely uncomfortable whenever I closed my eyelids. After trying to extract it for an hour or so, I gave up and watched some TV. I got to sleep at around 3:30AM after my wife woke up and got me an ice pack (it's nice to be babied every now and then :).

Saturday - took the new fretless down to Waldorf for Bass Lessons. Showed the bass to a couple other Funky bass players. Came back to VA, and took a nature hike with my good friend, Chris Conlin. Showered and went to the Reston YMCA for some dancing. The floor is a bit grippy there so big thanks to whomever set out the baby powder for us fussy dancers.

Sunday - took it easy - tidied around the house and ran some errands. Hung out with Dave M in the evening. We discussed the virtues of air conditioning since it was a most humid day. In the end, I caved in and turned on the Air conditioner since I didn't want to be a completely sedentary slug for the next few hours (which is what I tend to be when it's hot). As expected, the wifey was not pleased about it but she understood. Watched Strictly Ballroom with the wife. Decent movie - I give it 3 stars (out of 5).
