WTF is Ebanol? -
January 21, 2005 Posted: January 21, 2005
So I just found out today that Ibanez is no longer producing the GWB1 Gary Willis Signature Fretless bass. I was going to buy this bass. I found, instead, that they are making some cheaped-out version of the bass that has an Ebanol fingerboard. Is that even wood? Onelook.com which looks up definitions from quite a few dictionaries and encyclopedias produced this when I entered "Ebanol": Sorry, no dictionaries indexed in the selected category contain the word ebanol. Perhaps you meant: ebola (found in 7 dictionaries) I think I'm going to be sick... Ebanol sounds like some kind of synthetic crap that they use for cheap basses. Heck, even Fender doesn't use ebanol (so far as I know). Ibanez has messed up big this time. |
